Look....Look....Loooook!

The vision that kept me going during all those long years up to Referral Day (Aug 24, 2006) were the pictures that danced around in my head of two little girls -- my two little daughters -- somewhere someplace somehow in China. I always knew we would be referred twin girls. I always knew (and I'm talking knowing this since I was a child myself) that it'd be China....and that I'd be blessed with twins...Just knew it and I never let that thought go. My friends, family, Ed...everyone pretty much tried to gently "talk me out of" knowing in my heart-of-hearts that we'd be referred twins as they did not want to see me disappointed. But I, in turn, would gently correct them when they said "your daughter"...and I'd say "you mean 'daughters'." So, no one could "talk me out of hoping...or rather knowing...." that two little girls were heading our way. One of the pictures that danced in my head quite persistently was the scene of two bubbly sisters with pom-poms in their hair.

As Rony and Colleen and Ed and others know, I've been eagerly awaiting the whole "ok, are they ready for pigtails/ponytails/pom-poms?" Don't know why I've been so stuck on this for all these years but who cares because here it is right now just so smack-dab in our life . Jeez-a-ree, I'm going to make myself tear up right here and now and bawl like a baby....
Dreams do sometimes come true.....

Love, LOVE, LOVE pigtails, ponytails, and whale spouts on these little girls!!! Bows and ribbons, and headbands are cute too!!

I am so glad you didn't let the naysayers cause you to stray from your vision! You have two adorable, beautiful little girls.

Oh my gosh. I think you and I were always destined to be friends too. We think so much a like. Very "persistent" in our way of thinking. Other's do finally come round to our beliefs. Right?! lol.

I am sitting here with tears streaming down my face. You knew. You always did. Your little girls couldn't be with a more perfect loving mommy. I am beaming at their adorable little pom-poms. You are going to have to lock them up and throw away the key! They are irresistably cute. I could just reach out and kiss them. I am getting in the car and coming to see you and those babes.

they are really growing!
They have very innocent darling faces.
I too always said to everyone I was going to be a mom to twins. .... I always hyperovulated, then NOT when it was important, then IVF, figured, yup, this is it...NO. Then with adoption BINGO. I never knew how this would happen, but my self fulfilling prophecy worked. The Lord works in mysterious ways!
Makes this feel like destiny?

Gorgeous.

I love your story...what a lovely picture of faith. You are, indeed, blessed with your gorgeous daughters (piggy tails or not!)

My middle son just happened to see your girls in this post, and mentioned how much they resemble our Katie (yeah, I still see it too). I don't think the boys saw the resemblance while we were in China.

Happy 8 months together!!

Cindy. I'm back. I had to make sure you got my message. I had to dial 411 as I did not have your number with me at work. I just wanted to make sure that the 10 minute 'rambler' I left on your phone (g-d I hope it was your phone) that you got. I know your man is away this weekend on his "boys only trip" this weekend..... let me know your ok. I have to tell you about another "cool" twin mom that is in our area... (besides Sen and Diana and here in the USA)...hugs honey.Rony

Hey Girl.
Just listened to your vm. I was out tonight (got a babysitter since Ed left me for his Boy's Weekend Out.". Went and saw License to Wed with Robin Williams. I cried-laughed thru most entire movie. It was hilarious.....lots of hi-jinks about prospective parents going through a simulation of actually having children and how their life changes with kids....HAHAHA so funny .. Sorry I missed you. How's about tomorrow abound 8:15pm? I can call you directly?

How precious they are! LOVE the pigtails and jealous I am! Mary Austin has only just now had her 4th haircut in her 3.5 years of life! She and I are both patiently waiting for her "princess hair" (her comment not mine) to grow in! :-) For now the bob and bow will have to do for her!
