And On "It" Goes....

And on it goes, doesn't it? Life, that is. Tomorrow will mark...to the very day....a month since we learned of Bob's departure from us...and life and things and people and well, just stuff....it keeps on going, doesn't it? In those first early hours and days and weeks of Bob's death....it seemed like Time (with a capital "T") just stood still. Like we were in a time wrap. And that time didn't matter and we couldn't track it anyways so whatever.....
And then.....I remember simply being amazed and kinda stunned...and a bit angry.... when people around us had to "get back to work" and "go back the next day" and just kinda "do" the ordinary things you do in life. I wanted to shout..."No, No, No, wait guys...., it's not so ordinary!"..."You can't just get back into your routine, can you...huh...?" But you know what?....yep you can and yep that's what happens. That's life....it's for the living. And so.....what better way to celebrate the embracing of what life has to offer us here...than through our two beautiful little girls......To me, they are running at full hilt/"no-holding back" gusto....Ah, what great examples that we can all learn from....

Sigh......And On "It" Does Goes........
Hugs To All.
Cindy

Grieving does go on...no one should try to direct you otherwise; but oh, great heavens what a foil to the grief those gleeful grins are!

They are gorgeous. Amidst the sadness, wishing you growing moments of increasing joy -- as limitless as theirs seems to be.

You have so much to look towards when looking back becomes too painful. Your girls are so vibrantly full of life. Grab on to that!

We are in the White Swan. At breakfast this morning, our table faced the table where you and Ed sat the morning I asked you which SWI they had come from, and then asked their names, to find that they were Katie's best friends.

I usually don't talk to strangers (that's Kelly's gift) but I am glad I did that morning.

Hey sweets, you know you will always (ALWAYS) have the memories AND no one can ever take that away. So, when you're feeling sad that Bob is gone, pull out your favorite snapshots of him and remember. Remember everything. AND don't forget to laugh. You do have so much to be thankful for with those two little honey's and your big honey! When did they get so tall AND soooo skinny?!?!? They are not babies anymore. Waaaaa-Waaaa...I can't wait to see you all in 2 short weeks. We're gonna laugh. I promise. Really.

You are so blessed with these sweet girls. They just radiate joy and happiness.

Yes, you will continue to miss Bob, and you will mourn the empty space his friendship now leaves, but you have such precious memories, and nothing can take those away from you, not even time.

You're so right to live in the present, enjoy those precious girls and your wonderful (and very talented) husband, and remember fondly your best friend Bob.

Oh, AND you need to visit some friends in the Great State of Michigan! When are you coming? ;^)

Pictures of your Guangdong babies are precious! (My older daughter is also from Guangdong).

Yes, it's sort of strange, but life does go on....

Your girls are so delicious! They just radiate happiness. But, I'm sorry about Bob and you should grieve as long as you need to. Not everday needs to be happy.

Just hope you are hanging in there, Cindy. And so sorry you had to miss the trip.

Wow Cindy... soooo much to catch up on. Sammi and Nicki look SO BIG. It's been too long since I've been here.

I was thinking of you because another dear friend is in China now... letteski2.blogspot.com. Paulette joins your small club of ADR moms!

Diane joined our club and now has 2 ProDiscs to go along with my 2 Charite's. I'm here in Germany again, and again, and again... but my back is doing great (as is Diane's now at 3 months out.)

I hope we can catch up soon... litle Zoey Kate is doing wonderfully, but I miss her so much on my long trip... I don't think I'll do a month gone again!

I was so sorry to read about Bob... it's tough to get through such an intense loss, You were lucky to have such a dear friend for so long. I loved reading your tribute and laughed out loud and cried at the same time.

I'll try and call you soon... all the best... love,

Mark

PS... Sammi and Nicki are beautiful! (as are you and Ed!)
