Hello Everyone,

Ah...been such a good long time since I've posted but....I sure do have some good pictures. Life has been good -- busy but good. I'm hoping I'll be able to get into the swing of "blogville" before the holidays descend upon us.

Sammi and Nicki (and Ed and I) are all doing simply wonderfully. Life is very (very) good. The girls are 4 yrs old now and are truly thriving. I love this age...perhaps even best of all so far....as we just have so.much.fun. It's all about girly-girl princess stuff these days and sugar-and-spice-and-all things cute that go right along with....

[Note: Did I ever share with you all how GLAD I am that I just have girls? How much I wanted girls and (nothing against boys but....) how boys would simply bewilder me and how this is what I really always dreamed about (i mean the sugar-and-spice-stuff...) and what I wanted in my heart-of-heart-of-hearts....? Well, it's all good....let me just tell you -- it is all.good.]

Hello Hello Everyone!

Yep, quite some time since the last posting but.....been a very busy last 4 months.....big business trip to Asia for me for a couple of weeks, ballet-ballet for the girls, fantastic-awesome vacation in PA, Ed busy doing custom cabinetry work for the "big-girls" room, doing a fair amount of entertaining (whew...) these last few months (which we do love...just crazy sometimes....)and well, just life working full-time and life-with-twins. But...all good....all quite good......

Thanks to all for the very nice "check-in" emails.....and for the APB that I just read about today. (My email at work automatically gets "filtered" for spam and many of your emails landed (incorrectly) in a spam folder. I've fixed it now but sorry for not responding to many of you....and thanks so much....)

So.....you don't want to hear my story....you want to see more pictures....


Getting ready before the Big Stage...

Ah, one of the biggest joys with the girls is...truly...just how much fun they have being together. They certainly have their "moments" but 95% of the time, they are running around giggling, hugging, being silly, and really (no, I'm not biased!) just so.darn.cute... :)



We had Jeanette over one evening with her neice, Corrina, friend Lawson, and of course Adam... (cute cute Adam....nice looking fella, isn't he... )

Blowing bubbles....I think we blew bubbles for hours all weekend...

The other day in the car when the girls were acting-up and irritating each other (and really irritating me)....

Me: "Girls, you must realize by now that I have eyes in the back of my head and i can see EVERYTHING all the TIME... so you better behave....!!" *

Nicki: "Moommmeeee (all drawn out and dramatic...), doesn't that hurt?"

LOL!!



*Yes, my grandmother used that saying too.....

Happy Spring

Hello hello. Glad to be here posting pictures as it's been since mid-Feb-ish since I last came on site. Everything and everybody is fine although we certainly had a stint of being the House of Sick for about 4 solid weeks from mid-Feb to mid-March. We literally had the flu (authentic case for me), bronchitis, ear infections, and tons of virus stuff. But......all gone now....

Then, I travelled and have more traveling upcoming to Singapore and India starting next week for 2 weeks. (oh, Ed's loving this..... not!!). So, in between all of that....oh yes, and starting a very (very!) exciting new job at work, it's been quite crazy in our household. Crazy but fun and the girls...now over the sick stuff....are simply truly thriving. Just adorable. Three-and-a-half and loving every second. I'm tired at the end of the day but gosh, it's a good tired.

Ah...it will be nice diving back into the blogosphere for a bit. Sure hope everyone is well....I look forward to catching-up after my bit of hiatus....

Oldies But Goodies

I came across a couple of old favorite pics....First one is well...you know, right outside the White Swan in China....

Of Tutus, Twirls, and Twin-kies....and Waiting...

You see, I always thought I'd have little girls when I was in my early 30s and I'm now in my way-late 40's so that's about 15+ years of waiting..give or take a few. What is it that I've been waiting for? Tutus and Ballet Lessons. You guys know this 'cause I say it all-the-time but by-golly, I sure do love being immersed in all this cute little girl stuff and I think ballet lessons and tutus and tights and twirls is way up on that spectrum, isn't it?

The girls started taking ballet a few weeks ago and they simply love it. Almost every morning, they wake up and say "Mommy, is it ballerina school day?" And, every evening after school, they both can't wait to either put on their princess dresses or their ballet outfits....




Ahh...all such good stuff....

SuperBowl Food and Fun...

Whew, thank goodness for the Steelers win last night. Would not have been that much fun if #10 didn't make that fantastic catch at the very last minute...(well, last 2 mins...). We had a fun evening.....the Ks, the McCraes, the Schmitz came over for SuperBowl Sunday. Ah...so much food...

Keeps Me Laughing Most of the Time

We do a lot of laughing around here. Not all laughing, for sure....but pretty-much mostly it is laughing and giggles and very (very...) silly stuff. And it's mostly all good. One thing I like to do is let them sit on the kitchen counter and hang-out with me while I cook and clean and do kitchen-y things. And, as I scurry here and scurry there in the kitchen, they keep me giggling and as tickled as they are....At 3-years old, it doesn't take too much to make a giggle...but hey, doesn't take too much to get me to giggle either...

Ah....can someone out there please tell me how I can keep them 3-yrs old for maybe another 4 or 5 years....

You know that feeling you get when you know you're going to get some great Kodak moments...and the lighting is good and the mood is good and the pony tails have the "je ne sais crois" just right-ness? You know, right?....Well, then why is THAT the time time my battery power gets deleted....I only had time for a few of these pictures...!!(i need a spare battery for my Canon DSLR)....

Weekend Hangin'

The girls now have a ritual of taking their National Geographic magazines (thanks, Aunt Regina...very cool Christmas gift!!!) and scurrying off to their "secret" fort or their playhouse to read to each other....They don't want me around..."No Mommy, it's our 'madazeene"...

And fairy wings....it's all about fairies and ponies and princesses...Have to admit that I find it all very very cute. I honestly don't know what I'd do if I had boys...I never (truly) pined for boys either...But girls...well girls just rock, don't they....It's hard to get too-cute for me...I really do enjoy it!! :)
